What Clients Are Saying About Their Experience

“When my large and extremely athletic Great Dane, Marcus showed signs of hip and back strains from his work managing my pack of dogs and generally carrying out his protection work around my farm, Kaitlin and I discussed treatment ideas.

The biggest challenge we identified would be if this very stoic and controlled dog would allow such work to be carried out.

While he and Kaitlin had known each other for years, it was still a different level of connection and trust. And?  With her intuitive and steady approach to introducing him to treatments Marcus began to feel the benefits of Neuro-myofascial release, as well as Myofascial release and kinesiology tape.

This giant reserved dog would place himself on the coffee table (treatment area of choice!) and indicate to Kaitlin that it was time for his body work. He enjoyed his tape sessions so much that I was not allowed to remove the tape—he preferred that Kaitlin do it (and he could sneak in some more massage work.)

Kaitlin’s treatments added truly significant amounts of health and comfort for Marcus as he headed into his senior years.

Please consider treatments for your dogs—even if you have reservations about your pet’s willingness to participate. It can be life changing.”

I was fortunate to first meet Kaitlin through her horse. My horse and her horse were quite close. I know my gelding trusts Kaitlin deeply as they met as friends in the field. So that was where his first session happened. Where he was at. Kaitlin listens to both him and I. This is so key and often rare in the horse world.

We have been consistent with services through all seasons for over a year. We are now working on the deep stuff that has sat deep in the body for a long time. Kaitlin is realistic, not pushing the horse, and willing to be in it for the betterment of the horse. So far, we have incorporated massage, Craniosacral, Laser, and Taping from her vast wealth of knowledge, which she is constantly expanding.

Kaitlin is humble, so I am thrilled to offer all of you a testimonial from my heart to yours. Schedule a session for your equids with her! You will see in the first session, the positive impact it brings to each of them.

If you ride, own and train horses—you probably have said this in some way.  She’s not lame but she’s tight and seems to be blocked….

When Stella came along, she came with 2000 pounds of body baggage. Stella is a 6-year-old registered Black Clydesdale mare. Already hitched, already had a foal and “trained” under saddle.

To put it succinctly, Stella was not comfortable in or with her body. She was nervous to open her shoulders, relax her poll, she protected nearly every area of her body from expected or past issues.

We gave Kaitlin a very large and wary horse to begin working with.  Time over time Kaitlin introduced bits of craniosacral work (as much as Stella could tolerate) and added in myofascial release as tolerated.  The mare exhibited so much emotional release that the sessions had to be shortened. Then, Stella took some leaps of faith and allowed even more work.  The results can’t all be listed here.  A horse that is comfortable in herself now, able to bend and flex herself from poll to tail. A horse that moves so differently and is building muscle in the right areas as she steps away from a defense posture.

Under saddle Stella is a very different young Clyde. To handle she is open and loving.

And yes….She gets so very excited for her treatment time.

“I cannot recommend Kaitlin Bacon at Hoof ‘n Hound highly enough!! For years, Kaitlin has provided outstanding pet care for my Golden Retrievers.  She  is kind and caring, knowledgeable about whatever difficulties your pet might have and, most importantly, she connects with your pets in a way that few people can connect. It is as if she knows what they are thinking all the time!

Currently, Kaitlin has been providing red light/laser therapy for my 14 year old Golden, and it has made an incredible difference in his life! He was starting to slow down and get stiff, and with red light therapy he is back to his puppy ways!! So if you need a great sitter, or someone to drop in, Kaitlin is perfect! If you have a pet with joint issues, definitely try the red like therapy-what a difference it makes!”
